Memorial Day Observance Scheduled
for Muskalonge Cemetery

Monday, May 26th, 9:00 a.m.

For a 4th year, a Memorial Day Observance is scheduled at Muskalonge Cemetery by the Friends of the cemetery. They anticipate the Sackets Harbor American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, (select) Sentinel Band & 10th Mt. Division members will stop and pay tribute to those who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. As this is a pioneer cemetery owned by the Town, many of the veterans interred here served during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.  However, there are veterans who served in later wars, and one who fought during WW II.

Due to the recent sequester, and because of anticipated, long delays,
the Friends group does not foresee receiving veteran replacement stones in 2014.
